But practical special chassis for crane installations, differing from automobile frame, managed to prove their superiority. Since the automobile frame was unable to withstand serious loads during the operation of the crane, the manufacturers decided to combine it with the support frame of the crane unit, more reliable and durable. This is how the truck crane chassis was created. The support frame with outriggers serves as a base for the entire crane unit. This is a rigid welded structure on which not only the supports but also the slewing gear are mounted.
The function of the outriggers in this case is to increase the support contour and thus the grip on the surface. When the crane is working, it is the support frame that takes all the loads from the slewing unit and transfers them to the site. As you know, such a complex mechanism, such as a crane installation, constantly needs working fluid, the level of which in the crane system as it operates decreases.
Therefore, in order to store and compensate for the volume of working fluid, a hydraulic tank is used, in which it is also partially cooled, filtered from air and sedimented. The hydraulic tank is represented as a metal tank mounted on the frame of the truck crane. It is equipped with the necessary valves, filters, sensors to regulate the level of liquid in the machine system. The hydraulic tank, together with hydraulic pumps, hand pump, designed to bring the crane into working condition, as well as with pipelines, hydrosrapsredelitelnogo control of supports, represent the hydraulic equipment.
The function of pipelines in this case is to transport the working fluid from the tank to all mechanisms and systems of the crane. A rotating union is used to transfer the working fluid to the hydraulic equipment from the pumps installed on the non-swivel part.
